Delta State softball was swept in a doubleheader by Arkansas Tech on Tuesday at University Field. The Golden Suns won the opener 15-1 in five innings and completed the sweep with a 7-1 victory in the nightcap, according to game summaries.
Arkansas Tech broke open the first game with a nine-run third inning. Anna Winkfield drove in eight runs on three hits, including two home runs, to lead the Golden Suns. Delta State scored once in the fourth inning when Hallie Turner scored on a wild pitch after reaching base on a single and advancing on a walk.
