Anderson, Hassan Finish as Semifinalists at World Indoor Championships
KUJAWY POMORZE, Poland — Former Mississippi State middle-distance runners Navasky Anderson and Abdullahi Hassan concluded their debut at the World Indoor Championships as semifinalists in the 800 meters, according to World Athletics.
Anderson finished third in his semifinal heat with a time of 1:46.65, while Hassan posted a time of 1:47.05 to place sixth. Both runners competed in the first section of the men’s 800-meter semifinal.
Neither athlete advanced to the final, as the top two finishers in each heat earned automatic qualification, and no additional time qualifiers were available. Anderson ranked 13th overall among semifinalists, and Hassan placed 17th.
