Kaylee Estes, Anthony Morgan Named 1st Franklin Financial Tippah County Sports Athletes of the Year
Two of Tippah County’s top multi-sport standouts have earned countywide recognition.
Walnut’s Kaylee Estes and Falkner’s Anthony Morgan have been named the 2025-2026 1st Franklin Financial Tippah County Sports Female and Male Athletes of the Year.
Estes, a Walnut Lady Wildcat standout, was a four-year contributor in both volleyball and basketball. In volleyball, she was named Tippah County Player of the Year, Division Player of the Year, Miss 2A Volleyball, First Team All-State and selected to the MAC All-Star Team. She will continue her volleyball career at Northeast Mississippi Community College.
Estes also put together an impressive basketball season, earning Division Tournament MVP, Tippah County Defensive Player of the Year, First Team All-Division and SportsMississippi.com 2A All-State honors.
Morgan, a Falkner standout, was one of the area’s most versatile athletes, competing in football, powerlifting, baseball, basketball and tennis.
On the football field, Morgan was named Region 2-1A Overall Player of the Year and earned All-State honors. He also set the Falkner school record for total touchdowns and tied the school’s rushing touchdown record.
Morgan also excelled in powerlifting, finishing second at the state meet and setting a state record in the deadlift.
After receiving opportunities from Ottawa University and East Mississippi Community College, Morgan will continue his football career at Alcorn State University as a preferred walk-on.
Together, Estes and Morgan represent two of the most accomplished athletic careers in Tippah County during the 2025-2026 school year.
