Mississippi Christian Unveils 2026-27 Men’s Basketball Schedule

Mississippi Christian University has released its men’s basketball schedule for the 2026-27 season. The team will play 25 games, including 18 Gulf South Conference matchups and 10 home games at A.E. Wood Coliseum, according to the school.

The season begins with an exhibition game against Division I South Alabama on Oct. 29 in Mobile, Alabama. The Choctaws will then open the regular season Nov. 10 at home against Southern Arkansas. They will travel to Memphis for back-to-back games against LeMoyne-Owen on Nov. 13 and Spring Hill on Nov. 14.

Mississippi Christian continues its November schedule with a road game at Tougaloo on Nov. 17 before hosting Pensacola Christian on Nov. 19. The team will also compete in Florida, facing Palm Beach Atlantic on Nov. 27 and Lynn University on Nov. 28.

Gulf South Conference play begins Dec. 3, when the Choctaws host Union University. They will also host Christian Brothers on Dec. 5 and Belhaven on Dec. 8 before embarking on a three-game road trip in December to Delta State, Trevecca Nazarene, and Lee University.

The team returns home Jan. 4 to face Valdosta State, then hits the road for three conference games. Home games continue in January against Auburn University Montgomery, with away matches at Christian Brothers and Union University. The schedule includes a three-game homestand at the end of January and early February, with games against Delta State, Lee, and Trevecca Nazarene.

The regular season closes with road games at Valdosta State on Feb. 11 and home games against UAH and West Alabama. The final two contests are at A.U. Montgomery and Montevallo on Feb. 24 and 26, respectively.

The Gulf South Conference Championship is scheduled to start March 1, with the semifinals on March 4 and the title game on March 7. The NCAA Division II South Regional is set for March 12-15, followed by the Division II Finals in Fort Wayne, Indiana, from March 22-26, according to the school.

This season offers Mississippi Christian a chance to compete for a conference crown and a spot in the NCAA Division II postseason tournament, the school added.
