Brett Fowler new assistant AD at Blue Mountain Christian University
Blue Mountain Christian University has announced that Brett Fowler will be its new Assistant Athletic Director.
Fowler has been the Sports Information Director at Blue Mountain Christian for the past eight years and has served in that role with loyalty and excellence, earning the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) SID of the Year twice.
“Brett’s dedication to BMCU and our athletic programs is well known and respected,” BMCU Athletic Director Curt Fowler said. “He will continue in this new role, making our coaches and athletes the best they can be.”
BMCU President Barbara McMillin added, “Brett’s years of experience combined with his vast knowledge of the history of our program have equipped him well for this position of leadership. His commitment to excellence will benefit our student-athletes and our coaching staff.”
“It’s a great blessing and honor to serve Blue Mountain Christian University in this capacity. BMCU and the Blue Mountain community have always held a special place in my heart. My family and I live here and are members of Blue Mountain Baptist Church, so to see our university and town prosper together is my aspiration.”
Fowler is married to BMCU alumna Joanna Futral Fowler and serves as a deacon at Blue Mountain Baptist Church. Their son Brian will be an incoming freshman at BMCU in the fall.
“I’m thankful to Dr. McMillin and Curt for this opportunity to continue to serve the staff and coaches who are my friends. I’m also indebted to former BMCU Athletic Director Lavon Driskell who helped bring me here in 2015, along with my wife who understands my love for BMCU.” Fowler said.
