Ole Miss-Texas A&M Postponed

Word came in early Monday morning that Saturday’s upcoming contest between the Ole Miss Rebels and the fifth-ranked Texas A&M Aggies has been postponed.

This comes due to Texas A&M’s football program in the midst of a COVID-19 outbreak. Their scheduled game against Tennessee last weekend was also postponed.

The full release can be read below:

OXFORD, Miss. – The Ole Miss at Texas A&M football game, originally scheduled for Nov. 21, has been postponed due to the continued quarantine of individuals within the Texas A&M football program, consistent with Southeastern Conference COVID-19 management requirements.

Because Texas A&M has a game tentatively scheduled for December 12, the opportunity to reschedule the Ole Miss at Texas A&M game will be evaluated. The rescheduling of games on the remaining SEC football schedule will include December 19 as a playing date.

The SEC’s COVID-19 management requirements, as developed by the SEC’s Return to Activity and Medical Guidance Task Force, are available on SECsports.com. (full report (PDF)).

The Rebels are 3-4 on the year and are coming off a 59-42 win over South Carolina, in which they tallied 708 yards of total offense; the third-most in school history and their most ever in an SEC contest.
