William Carey Lady Crusaders Rally to Tie for First at Lady Roadrunner Spring Invitational

The William Carey Lady Crusaders rallied from a 10-shot deficit over the final nine holes to tie for first place at the 54-hole Lady Roadrunner Spring Invitational in Cohutta, Georgia, according to school officials.

The team finished tied atop the leaderboard with fourth-ranked SCAD Savannah and tournament host Dalton State College, which is ranked second nationally. William Carey’s late surge highlighted a strong team performance against one of the most competitive fields of the spring season.

Individually, Taamtond Nivasananda led the Lady Crusaders with a runner-up finish in the medalist competition. She posted a team-low round of two-under-par 70. Gracie Bloom also performed well, recording three rounds of 74 to finish sixth overall.

Dalton State ultimately secured the championship through a playoff victory over SCAD Savannah, with William Carey finishing third in the tiebreaker. The Lady Crusaders concluded their spring season with an undefeated overall record of 30 wins, no losses, and two ties.

William Carey is scheduled to compete next at the SSAC Conference Championship from April 20 to 22 at RTJ Cambrian Ridge in Greenville, Alabama, officials said.
