W Sophomore Tray Huguley Named SLIAC Player of the Week for Fifth Time

Columbus, Miss. — W sophomore men’s basketball player Tray Huguley has been named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Player of the Week for Jan. 26-Feb. 1, 2026, the league announced.

This marks the fifth time Huguley has received the weekly award during the 2025-26 season. The league’s sports information directors select the honoree.

Huguley averaged 32.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in two games last week. He shot 69% from the field (27-for-39) and made 11 of 13 free throws. He scored a career-high 43 points against Greenville University last Thursday, the second-most points ever scored in a game by an Owl. He also grabbed 13 rebounds, tying the school record for most double-doubles in a season with his 11th.

In his first season with The W, Huguley has scored in double digits in all 17 games played. He has surpassed 20 points in 11 games. He leads the team with an average of 23.1 points and 11.6 rebounds per game, shooting 64.6% from the floor.
