SWAC Announces Men’s Basketball Tournament Seedings and Matchups

The Southwestern Athletic Conference has announced the seedings and bracket for the 2026 men’s basketball championship tournament. Mississippi Valley State University will enter as the No. 12 seed after finishing the regular season with a 2-16 record in SWAC play.

The Delta Devils will compete in the first round of the single-elimination tournament, which runs from March 9 to 14 at Gateway Center Arena near Atlanta, Georgia. The event features all 12 SWAC teams vying for the league title and an automatic NCAA Tournament berth.

The tournament begins with first-round games on March 9, followed by quarterfinals on March 10, semifinals on March 11, and the championship game on March 14. Mississippi Valley State will face No. 11 Alcorn State in the opening round, aiming to advance and make a postseason run.

The schedule includes multiple matchups broadcast on ESPN+. The championship game will be televised on ESPNU on March 14 at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time. Tickets can be purchased online through the conference website.
