Southern Miss to Host Showcase Saturday with Football, Baseball Events on April 18
The University of Southern Mississippi announced Thursday that it will hold Showcase Saturday on its Hattiesburg campus on April 18. The event will include a Future Golden Eagles Football Clinic, the Golden Eagles’ spring football game, and a Sun Belt Conference baseball game versus Texas State, all free to the public.
The football clinic is open to children 12 and under. Registration will take place from 9 to 10 a.m. at Gate 1 on the northwest side of Carlisle-Faulkner Field at M.M. Roberts Stadium. The one-hour clinic will follow registration, and first-year head coach Blake Anderson will address participants at the conclusion. Geyser Falls will provide complimentary passes for all clinic attendees.
The Golden Eagles’ spring football game is scheduled to start at noon, with gates opening at 11 a.m. through Gate 9. Fans are encouraged to park in the surrounding lots. Following the game, there will be a player autograph session. The baseball game against Texas State begins at 3 p.m., moved back an hour from its original start time.
Supporters are reminded that April 18 is also the deadline to renew season tickets, which can be done at SouthernMiss.com/Tickets. A promotion offering four upper deck seats for $260 remains available until March 31. Fans are encouraged to attend the events and enjoy the various activities on campus.
