Southern Miss Men’s Golf Finishes Regular Season at Mossy Oak Collegiate

The University of Southern Mississippi men’s golf team is competing in the Mossy Oak Collegiate in West Point, Miss., on April 13-14, to conclude the 2025-26 regular season. The Golden Eagles are coming off their third straight second-place finish and aim to improve in a 19-team field that includes 10 teams ranked among the top 75 nationally, according to sources.

Southern Miss is ranked 67th nationally and has posted six top-three finishes this season, including a second-place finish at the Seminole Intercollegiate. The travel squad features Matthew Javier of Toronto, Jake Moffitt of Ripley, Miss., Benjamin Fernandez of Asuncion, Paraguay, Supakorn Amornchaichan of Pattaya City, Thailand, and Walker Wise of Tupelo, Miss.

Javier recently finished third at a previous tournament, with Amornchaichan also finishing in the top five. Moffitt has played 17 rounds of par or better this season, the most on the team. The tournament tees off with round one at 8 a.m. Monday, followed by round two at 1 p.m. The final round is scheduled for 8 a.m. Tuesday.

The Mossy Oak Golf Club is a 7,212-yard course designed by Gil Hanse, featuring 95 bunkers, rolling terrain, and significant elevation changes. The course was built on a former dairy farm in Mississippi’s rolling hills.

Lineup for the tournament includes Moffitt, Javier, Fernandez, Amornchaichan, and Wise, with tee times starting at 8 a.m. each day. Fans can follow live scoring and updates through Southern Miss’s social media channels and website.
