Southern Miss Beach Volleyball finishes undefeated at Spring Break Slam
The University of Southern Mississippi beach volleyball team completed an undefeated four-game homestand at the Spring Break Slam, with wins over ULM and Spring Hill on Saturday. The Golden Eagles defeated ULM 4-1 and Spring Hill 4-1 to cap off their successful stretch.
Top pair Sadie McAda and Laurel Dennis achieved a milestone, earning their 50th career win together. The duo now holds a 50-46 record and contributed to the team’s victories. The school also honored seniors Iustina Corcoz, Zuzanna Michalska, and Ryann Thomas during a postgame ceremony.
In the opening match, Southern Miss opened with a 4-1 victory over ULM. Jaden White and Kitija Martini Adamsone secured the decisive win, while Dennis and McAda fought through close sets to clinch the win. The team improved to 7-14 overall this season.
Later, the Golden Eagles beat Spring Hill 4-1, with Dennis and McAda earning their 50th victory together. They dominated their match with a 21-7 and 21-17 win, helping secure the team’s fourth straight victory. With this success, Southern Miss improved its record to 18-2 in doubles play for the season.
Southern Miss will now compete in the Sun Belt Conference Mid-Season Tournament in Macon, Georgia, starting March 27. The team will face College of Charleston, Mercer, Coastal Carolina, and UNCW over two days, beginning with a match against College of Charleston at 8 a.m. CT.
