Point University tops Blue Mountain Christian in SSAC men’s basketball
WEST POINT, Ga. — Point University’s men’s basketball team defeated Blue Mountain Christian 92-79 Monday night in a SSAC game at West Point, Georgia.
The Toppers started strong, taking an early lead, but the Skyhawks responded and gained momentum as the game progressed. Both teams exchanged runs throughout the night, with Point pulling ahead late in the second half.
Esrael Yant led Blue Mountain Christian with 20 points, including multiple drives to the basket and free throws. Gavin Shannon added 16 points and eight rebounds, contributing on both offense and defense. Michael Hill scored 15 points and played active defense, while RJ Robinson came off the bench to score 11 points and help maintain offensive pressure. Chris Tackett led the Toppers on the boards with nine rebounds.
The Toppers are scheduled to play again Tuesday on the road against BPCU at 7:30 p.m. EST in another SSAC contest, according to team officials.
