Patriot Rifle Conference Tournament Moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana, Due to Weather
The University of Mississippi announced Tuesday that the Patriot Rifle Conference Tournament scheduled for Feb. 7-8 in Oxford has been moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The change comes amid winter storm conditions that have impacted local power and transportation, prompting officials to relocate the event. The X Count facility in Fort Wayne, which hosted last season’s conference tournament, will now serve as the site for this year’s competition.
Ole Miss finished second overall at last year’s tournament, earning a silver medal in smallbore and a bronze in air rifle. Audrey Gogniat swept individual titles to become Ole Miss’ first PRC aggregate champion, according to the university.
All seven teams in the conference will compete in Fort Wayne. Admission to the tournament will be free. Ole Miss will next host Memphis on Feb. 14 after canceling a tri-team event with Georgia Southern and Navy scheduled for Jan. 31.
