Ole Miss Women’s Tennis Player Andrea Nova Named to SEC Community Service Team
Oxford, Mississippi – The Southeastern Conference announced its 2025 Community Service Team for women’s tennis Thursday, honoring Ole Miss junior Andrea Nova for her off-court volunteer work, the university said.
Nova was selected among 15 student-athletes representing the conference’s men’s tennis program. Her involvement includes participation in several community outreach initiatives in Oxford and the surrounding areas.
According to Ole Miss athletics, Nova contributed to Feed the Sip, a food sustainability project within the Stronger Together Mississippi Initiative, helping collect non-perishable items for elementary students in Tunica and Quitman counties. She also helped with the Adopt A Basket program, which donates more than 100 Thanksgiving baskets to local families.
Beyond immediate community needs, Nova has participated in National Girls and Women in Sports Day and mentored young girls through outreach at the Oxford Park Commission. Her efforts aim to inspire future generations and promote sports advocacy, the university added.
The team will conclude its season this weekend with road matches against No. 19 Tennessee and Kentucky. Ole Miss’s women’s tennis team is scheduled to face Tennessee on Thursday, April 9, at 4 p.m. CT, and Kentucky on Saturday, April 11, at 12 p.m. CT, the university said.
