Ole Miss women’s basketball will play its final regular-season road game Thursday at Florida. Tipoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. CT in Gainesville, and the game will be televised on SEC Network, according to the university’s athletics department.

The No. 19/20 Rebels enter the contest with a 21-8 overall record and an 8-6 mark in Southeastern Conference play. Head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin is in her eighth season leading Ole Miss. Florida, coached by Kelly Rae Finley in her fifth season, holds a 16-13 record with a 4-10 SEC record.

This matchup marks the 51st between the two programs, dating back to 1979. Ole Miss leads the series 26-24 and has won the last six meetings. The Rebels have also won their past eight games in Gainesville, with a 12-10 record on the road in Florida. Their first series victory was a 101-78 win in 1979.

Ole Miss’s recent dominance includes a 68-42 win over Florida on Feb. 5, 2023, the largest margin of victory in the series. The Rebels held the Gators to 24.1% shooting, their lowest against an SEC team in 20 seasons. Angel Baker led with 18 points, and Madison Scott contributed a double-double.

Florida features a balanced offense led by sophomore Liv McGill, who averages 22.6 points per game. McGill ranks second in the SEC in scoring and is eighth nationally. The Gators also rely on Me’Arah O’Neal and Laila Reynolds for offensive production, averaging 13.8 and 12.6 points per game, respectively. Despite a losing SEC record, Florida maintains a positive scoring margin of 7.6 points per game.

Ole Miss most recently fell to South Carolina 85-48 on Sunday. Christeen Iwuala led the Rebels with a double-double, scoring 12 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. The Rebels average 5.1 blocks per game this season, with Latasha Lattimore leading the team with 64 blocks, ranking third in the SEC.

As Ole Miss prepares for its final road game, the team looks to extend its winning streak and improve its seeding ahead of postseason tournaments. The game will be available via live stream, radio, and live stats, according to the university’s athletic department.
