Ole Miss Women’s Basketball Star Cotie McMahon Invited to 2026 WNBA Draft
Ole Miss women’s basketball player Cotie McMahon has been invited to attend the 2026 WNBA Draft, scheduled for April 13 at The Shed at Hudson Yards in New York City, according to university officials.
McMahon is set to become the ninth Rebel in program history to be drafted and the fourth during head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin’s tenure. Past Rebel draftees include Madison Scott, Marquesha Davis, and Shakira Austin, who have also been invited to attend the draft event in New York.
The Dayton, Ohio, native has gained national recognition this season, earning a spot on the Cheryl Miller Final Five list, the Wooden Award National Ballot, and the WBCA Regional Finalist list, among a total of 27 individual honors. She was named SEC Newcomer of the Year and received First Team All-SEC honors.
McMahon also received multiple national honors, including USA TODAY Honorable Mention All-American, The Sporting News Second Team All-American, USBWA Honorable Mention, and AP Honorable Mention. In her single season at Ole Miss, she averaged 19.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game, shooting 45.1% from the field.
During SEC play, McMahon increased her averages to 21.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in 33.4 minutes per game. She scored 703 points this season, ranking fourth in school history for points in a single season, and recorded 34 double-digit scoring games, surpassing the previous program record held by Peggie Gillom-Granderson.
