Ole Miss Track & Field Sends Nine Athletes to 2026 NCAA Indoor Championships

Fayetteville, Ark. — Ole Miss track and field will have nine qualifiers at the NCAA Indoor Championships, held March 13-14 at the University of Arkansas. The Rebel men are ranked No. 11 and the women No. 12 in the Week Seven USTFCCCA National Rating Index, marking their first consecutive ranked indoor seasons since 2012-2013, according to the organization.

To qualify for the national meet, athletes needed to finish in the top 16 in individual events or top 12 in relays during the regular season. The top eight in each event will compete for first-team All-American honors, while places nine through 16 earn second-team recognition, the NCAA states.

Ole Miss officials said ESPN+ will broadcast the event, with morning streams for field events and evening coverage for track races. The meet will feature multiple Rebel qualifiers, including Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan, who aims to become one of only four Division I athletes to win four consecutive indoor shot put titles. A victory would also give him the most NCAA titles in Ole Miss indoor history with three, tying the school record.

Robinson-O’Hagan is one of two Rebels attempting the shot put/weight throw double, a rare feat in college track and field. If successful in both events, he would be only the third athlete in collegiate history to sweep those titles in the same year, according to NCAA records.

Other notable qualifiers include Akaoma Odeluga, who is attempting the ninth shot/weight double in Ole Miss women’s history. A win in both events would mark the first NCAA sweep of those disciplines in collegiate history. Additionally, Arvesta Troupe is competing in the high jump for the second consecutive year, aiming to be only the second Rebel to repeat as a scorer in the event since 2010.

Ole Miss’s track and field program has a storied history at the indoor national meet, with 14 NCAA titles and multiple runners-up finishes. The team’s goal is to add to this legacy and secure All-American honors across multiple events this weekend.
