Ole Miss Sets Record with 48 Student-Athletes on SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll

Ole Miss had 48 student-athletes named to the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll, the department announced Wednesday. The honor roll recognizes student-athletes who meet specific academic standards during the fall semester.

The university posted a department GPA of 3.29 last fall, a record for Ole Miss. Seventeen of 18 teams and 63 percent of student-athletes registered at least a 3.0 GPA, according to the SEC.

Across the SEC, 1,514 student-athletes from 16 schools received the honor. The list includes athletes from cross country, football, soccer, and volleyball, all of whom finished their respective seasons during the 2025 fall semester.

To qualify, student-athletes must have maintained a GPA of at least 3.0 for the academic year or be above that threshold for their cumulative GPA. The criteria also include participation in NCAA championship sports, completion of specific academic hours, and eligibility during the entire NCAA championship segment.

Ole Miss’s honorees include athletes from multiple sports, such as football, cross country, soccer, and volleyball. The list features both scholarship and non-scholarship athletes who have met the academic standards set by the SEC.

The university’s Student-Athlete Development program emphasizes academic achievement and personal growth, supporting athletes through various developmental initiatives, according to the FedEx Student-Athlete Success Center.
