Ole Miss Men’s Track & Field Ranks No. 10 in Week Three USTFCCCA Poll

The University of Mississippi men’s track and field team is ranked No. 10 in the Week Three USTFCCCA Track & Field Rating Index for indoor season, the organization announced Tuesday. This is the Rebels’ third straight week in the top 10 and their ninth all-time top-10 ranking, all achieved under head coach Connie Price-Smith.

The USTFCCCA Rating Index uses a computer algorithm that emphasizes individual performances. It assigns points based on each athlete’s marks to determine team rankings nationally, according to the organization.

Ole Miss will split its squad for the first time this season, with separate groups competing at Vanderbilt’s Music City Challenge and Arkansas’ Tyson Invitational on Feb. 13-14, the school said.

The Rebels’ top performers include Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan, who ranks highly in shot put and weight throw. Other notable athletes are Arvesta Troupe in high jump and Jordan Urrutia in the 200-meter dash, among others.

Ole Miss’s women’s team is also ranked, sitting at No. 27 with 36.26 points. Their leading performances come from athletes like Akaoma Odeluga in weight throw and shot put, and Skylar Soli in weight throw.
