Ole Miss Men’s Track & Field Ranked No. 6 in USTFCCCA Weekly Ratings

The University of Mississippi men’s track and field team is ranked No. 6 in the Week Two USTFCCCA Track & Field Rating Index, released Tuesday morning. The ranking emphasizes individual performances and assesses the team’s overall standing nationally, according to the USTFCCCA.

Ole Miss has a total of 39 top-10 rankings in its history, with 11th-year head coach Connie Price-Smith responsible for 39 of those appearances—12 for men and 27 for women. She has contributed to 16 of 18 outdoor top-10 slots and 23 indoor slots. Overall, she has overseen 75 of the program’s 139 outdoor ranking appearances, including 28 for men and 47 for women.

The Rebels are hosting the Joe Walker Invite at Prefontaine Stadium on April 10-11. The team is led by standout performances from athletes such as Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan, who topped rankings in the hammer throw and shot put, and Sterling Scott in the triple jump, among others.

In the latest ratings, Ole Miss’s men’s team scored 192.42 points, with Robinson-O’Hagan earning points for his throws, and other athletes contributing across various track and field events. The women’s team ranks No. 44 with 48.31 points, led by Akaoma Odeluga in the shot put and hammer throw.

Ole Miss aims to build on its momentum at the upcoming meets, including the SEC Outdoor Championships and NCAA postseason events, where the team hopes to improve its national standing.
