Ole Miss Men’s Golf Heads to California for Pauma Valley Invitational

The University of Mississippi men’s golf team, ranked No. 13 nationally, is competing in the Pauma Valley Invitational from March 16-18 at Pauma Valley Country Club in California, according to school officials.

The tournament features a field with nine of the top 25 teams in the nation, including five from the Southeastern Conference. The event spans three days, with 18-hole rounds scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., Pauma Valley is known for its intricate greens and scenic views of the valley. The course offers a distinctive challenge for the participating teams.

Ole Miss’s lineup includes seniors Tom Fischer, Cameron Tankersley, and Cohen Trolio, all of whom rank in the top 60 of the World Amateur Golf Rankings and the top 25 of PGA TOUR U. Fischer has a team-best scoring average of 70.22, while Tankersley recently claimed his first collegiate victory at The Invitational at the Honors Course.

Freshman Daniel Tolf, from Sweden, is also competing. Tolf recently won the Watersound Invitational with a 54-hole score of 201, nine under par, marking his first collegiate win. The team looks to build on its successful spring start, which included a top-five finish at the Watersound Invitational and a team victory at The Honors Course.

Ole Miss has a history of strong performances on the West Coast, including a team and individual title sweep at The Invitational at the Honors Course earlier this season. The Rebels aim to continue their postseason streak, seeking their ninth consecutive trip after a record-setting 2024-25 season that included a No. 1 ranking and multiple team titles.
