Ole Miss Men’s Basketball Prepares to Face Texas A&M on the Road
The Ole Miss men’s basketball team heads back on the road this week, visiting Reed Arena in College Station to face Texas A&M on Wednesday at 6 p.m. Eastern time. The game will be televised on the SEC Network.
Ole Miss enters the matchup with an 11-14 record overall and a 3-9 mark in SEC play. Head coach Chris Beard is in his third season with the Rebels. Texas A&M owns a 17-8 overall record and a 7-5 conference record, led by first-year coach Bucky McMillan.
This will be the 19th meeting between the two programs, with Texas A&M leading the series 13-5. The Aggies have won all but one game in College Station since joining the SEC in 2013. The last meeting, on Jan. 22, 2025, resulted in a 63-62 victory for Texas A&M in Oxford, with Sean Pedulla scoring 16 points for Ole Miss and Rylan Griffen adding 14 for the Aggies.
Texas A&M has been led by a balanced offense, with six players averaging at least 10 points per game. Rashaun Agee leads in scoring and rebounding, averaging 13.7 points and 8.9 rebounds. The Aggies rank third in the SEC in steals per game and are known for their high-scoring offense, averaging nearly 90 points per game.
Ole Miss has shown resilience on offense, ranking second in the SEC in fewest turnovers per game at 7.9 during conference play. Senior guard AJ Storr has been a key contributor off the bench, averaging 18.7 points in SEC games and posting multiple 20-point performances recently. Freshman guard Patton Pinkins has also made an impact, scoring a career-high 25 points earlier this season and leading SEC freshmen with just five turnovers.
The game marks a critical point in Ole Miss’s SEC schedule as they aim to improve their standing and build momentum heading into postseason play.
