Ole Miss Men and Women Ranked in Top 25 in Week Two USTFCCCA Indoor Ratings
The University of Mississippi men’s and women’s track and field teams are ranked in the top 25 nationally in the Week Two USTFCCCA Indoor Track & Field Rating Index, announced Tuesday. The men’s team holds the No. 9 spot, while the women are ranked No. 24.
This marks the second consecutive week the Rebels men’s team has been in the top 10, their eighth all-time indoor ranking under head coach Connie Price-Smith. Since her arrival at Ole Miss, Price-Smith has contributed to 86 of the 119 all-time indoor rankings for the university, including 51 for women and 35 for men.
The USTFCCCA’s rating index uses an algorithm that emphasizes individual performances, assigning points based on marks that contribute to team totals. Both teams will compete this week at the New Mexico Classic in Albuquerque, scheduled for Feb. 6-7.
