Ole Miss Men and Women Ranked in Top 25 in Week One USTFCCCA Indoor Ratings
The University of Mississippi men’s track and field team is ranked No. 7, while the women’s team is No. 21 in the initial USTFCCCA indoor season ratings, announced Tuesday.
This marks the highest indoor ranking for the Rebel men since a program-record No. 5 debut in 2023. It is also their seventh top-10 ranking indoors, all under head coach Connie Price-Smith.
Price-Smith has overseen 84 of the 117 all-time indoor rankings appearances for Ole Miss, including 50 for women and 34 for men, according to the USTFCCCA.
The USTFCCCA’s Track & Field Rating Index uses an algorithm emphasizing individual performances. It assigns points for each mark to calculate a team’s national standing.
Ole Miss athletes will compete this week at Clemson’s Bob Pollock Invitational, scheduled for Jan. 30-31.
In the men’s rankings, Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan leads with a shot put throw of 20.76 meters (68-1.25), earning 24.61 points. The women’s team is led by Akaoma Odeluga, who posted a weight throw of 22.95 meters (75-3.50), earning 20.50 points.
The men’s team has accumulated 73.25 points, while the women have 46.35 points in the rankings.
