Ole Miss’ J’Adore Young Named to SEC Community Service Team
Ole Miss women’s basketball player J’Adore Young has been named to the 2026 SEC Community Service Team, the conference announced Wednesday morning. This is Young’s first time earning the honor.
The SEC established its Community Service Team for women’s basketball in 1994, with the current recognition highlighting student-athletes for their extracurricular contributions beyond the court. Young has been active in community service in Oxford and Lafayette County, participating in initiatives such as Adopt a Basket, Feed the Sip, Reading with the Rebels, and others. Most recently, she helped provide Christmas gifts for foster children through the CASA of North Mississippi Christmas Program.
Young has appeared in 19 games this season, starting one, after recovering from injuries during her first two years at Ole Miss. She set career highs this year with seven points against Georgia and five rebounds against Mississippi Valley State. The junior continues to contribute on the court while making a positive impact off it, according to the university.
Ole Miss fans can purchase tickets for the upcoming home game against Texas A&M on March 1 at 2 p.m. CT. The Rebels also promote their social media channels, including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, for updates and coverage.
