Ole Miss Golf’s Trolio Finishes Top 10 at Thomas Sharkey Individual Collegiate

STATESBORO, Ga. — Collins Trolio of the University of Mississippi finished in a tie for seventh place at the 10th annual Thomas Sharkey Individual Collegiate, held at Georgia Southern University Golf Course on Sunday. Trolio shot a three-under 69 in the final round, marking a strong start to the Rebels’ spring season.

Starting on the fifth hole, Trolio birdied two of his first five holes. He added another birdie on the par-5 15th hole and scored his fourth birdie on the first hole. Over the weekend, Trolio played the par-5s at eight-under, leading all players in scoring on those holes for the tournament.

His teammate, Jacob Blanton, finished in 38th place after posting an eight-over 78 in the final round. Ole Miss will next compete at the Watersound Invitational in Inlet Beach, Florida, from Feb. 16-18, at Shark’s Tooth Golf Course, hosted by Florida State.
