Ole Miss Changes Schedule for Vanderbilt Games Due to Winter Storm

The University of Mississippi men’s basketball program announced schedule changes Thursday, citing weather-related disruptions caused by Winter Storm Fern. The Southeastern Conference approved the adjustments.

The game originally scheduled for Jan. 31 at the SJB Pavilion in Oxford has been moved to Nashville, Tennessee, with a 5 p.m. tipoff. The second game, initially set for Oxford in late March, will now take place in Oxford on either March 3 or 4. The exact date and time for the March game remain to be determined.

All tickets purchased for the Jan. 31 game will be honored at the rescheduled home game in March. The changes come as widespread power outages, infrastructure damage, and hazardous road conditions persist in the area, affecting Ole Miss and Oxford residents. The university has announced closures through Feb. 8 due to the storm’s impact, which has caused downed trees, power lines, and dangerous road conditions.

The Ole Miss men’s basketball team continues its schedule with upcoming games against Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Texas, and others. Details for broadcast and additional game times are yet to be confirmed.
