Mississippi Valley State Women’s Basketball Set to Face Grambling State

GRAMBLING, La. — The Mississippi Valley State University women’s basketball team will face Grambling State in their only regular-season meeting of the 2025-26 season on Monday night. The game was originally scheduled for January 24 but was postponed and rescheduled for Feb. 23.

Mississippi Valley State, with a record of 6-19 overall and 5-9 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference, will play the Tigers, who are 9-17 overall and 6-7 in the SWAC. The game is set for 5:30 p.m. at the Frederick C. Hobdy Assembly Center in Grambling, Louisiana.

The series between the teams dates back to the 2009-10 season, with Grambling leading 19-10. The Tigers have won seven straight meetings since 2009-10. The last time the Devilettes defeated Grambling was on Feb. 3, 2020, with a 68-57 victory in Itta Bena, Mississippi.
