Mississippi Valley State Women’s Basketball Faces Southern in Baton Rouge
BATON ROUGE, La. — The Mississippi Valley State women’s basketball team will try to extend its winning streak against Southern University on Thursday night. The Devilettes, who defeated Alabama A&M earlier this season, hope to topple the SWAC’s top team at the F.G. Clark Activity Center.
The game is scheduled for 6 p.m. and will be streamed on the Jaguar Sports Network. Fans can listen via G-Line Radio or follow live stats on the Southern athletics website. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster.
Mississippi Valley State enters the game with a 4-13 overall record and a 3-3 mark in SWAC play. Southern is 8-8 overall and 4-1 in conference matchups. The Jaguars hold a commanding series lead over the Devilettes, 34-6, dating back to 2005. The last meeting occurred on March 12, 2025, in the SWAC quarterfinals in Atlanta, where Southern won 63-43.
