Mississippi Valley State Women’s Basketball Faces Alabama A&M in SWAC Showdown

The Mississippi Valley State University women’s basketball team will try to pull off an upset against Alabama A&M on Saturday. The Bulldogs have won 11 consecutive games since the Devilettes handed them their only SWAC loss on New Year’s Day, according to school officials.

The game is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the Alabama A&M Event Center in Huntsville. Fans can watch the game on SWAC TV, listen via G-Line Radio, or follow live stats. Tickets are available for the contest.

Mississippi Valley State enters the game with a 4-18 overall record and a 3-8 mark in conference play. Alabama A&M is 15-9 overall and 11-1 in the SWAC, holding the top spot in the standings. The series between the teams favors the Bulldogs, who lead 31-13 since the 2005-06 season.

The last meeting was a 74-72 overtime victory for Mississippi Valley State on Jan. 1 in Itta Bena. Alabama A&M’s last win over the Devilettes was on Feb. 15, 2025, with a 95-76 score.
