Mississippi Valley State Track & Field Wraps Up Indoor Season at UAB Invitational
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Mississippi Valley State University track and field program finished its indoor regular season with the UAB Invitational at Birmingham CrossPlex. The meet marked the end of a three-week, five- or four-meet stretch for the teams, with no team scores recorded.
On the women’s side, Cayden Fluellen led UAB Devilettes with a personal best in the 200 meters, clocking in at 26.79 seconds. Brooklyn Brunt set her best mark in the shot put, landing at 7.91 meters.
The Delta Devils posted notable performances as well. Justus Snapp improved his 200-meter PR to 25.24 seconds on back-to-back days. Allen Jenkins set a personal record in the triple jump at 11.93 meters, while Jusden Culpepper achieved a PR in the long jump with 5.82 meters. Lanauda Westmoreland ran the 60-meter dash in 7.42 seconds, and Amandalo Kane completed the 600 meters in 1:36.69, each setting new personal bests.
Both teams now have two weeks to prepare for the program’s first conference championship meet, scheduled for Feb. 21-22 in Birmingham. Fans can follow the Delta Devils and Devilettes cross country and track and field programs on social media platforms including Twitter/X, Instagram, and Facebook.
