Mississippi Valley State Track & Field Opens Outdoor Season at Bulldog Relays
The Mississippi Valley State University track and field team began its outdoor season Friday at the Bulldog Relays hosted by Mississippi State University at Mike Sanders Track Complex in Starkville.
Most of the Delta Devils’ success came in the 200-meter dash, where D’Lano Blevins ran a personal best of 22.97 seconds, and Justus Snapp posted a PR with a time of 24.64 seconds. Khalon Christie led the group with a time of 22.50 seconds. In the discus throw, Jadarius Townes recorded a distance of 37.78 meters, also a personal best.
On Thursday night, Kristian Miller competed in the hammer throw, finishing with a toss of 31.58 meters. For the women, Alaya Rhodes and Poetrie Dace each cleared 1.55 meters in the high jump, just outside the top ten. Aniyah Thomas participated in the hammer throw, recording a distance of 28.78 meters.
