Mississippi Valley State Softball Set to Face Arkansas-Pine Bluff in Final Series

Pine Bluff, Arkansas — The Mississippi Valley State University softball team will play its final game of a cross-division series against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Wednesday afternoon at the Torii Hunter Softball Complex.

The Diamond Devils enter the matchup with a 1-27 record overall and are 0-15 in Southwestern Athletic Conference play. Arkansas-Pine Bluff holds a 9-18 record and is 4-6 in conference games. The series features the Golden Lions riding a four-game winning streak, while Mississippi Valley’s last victory was a 3-1 win on Feb. 24, 2024.

According to the teams’ series history, Arkansas-Pine Bluff leads 25-14, winning 64.1% of the matchups. The last meeting took place on March 18 at the MVSU Softball Field in Itta Bena, Mississippi, with the Golden Lions winning 11-3.
