Mississippi Valley State Softball Hosts Arkansas-Pine Bluff in Midweek Game
ITTA BENA, Miss. — The Mississippi Valley State University softball team will host Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Wednesday for its first mid-week game of the season. The game is scheduled for 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. at the MVSU Softball Field.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff enters the game with a 6-13 record overall and a 2-2 mark in Southwestern Athletic Conference play. Mississippi Valley State holds a 1-14 record overall and is 0-6 in conference games, according to the teams’ latest records.
The series history favors the Diamond Devilettes, who lead 25-12 against the Golden Lions, with a winning percentage of 67.6 percent. The last meeting between the teams took place on Feb. 22, 2025, at Jackson State’s softball field, where Arkansas-Pine Bluff won 6-3. Mississippi Valley State’s most recent win was on Feb. 24, 2024, at the Capital City Classic, with a 3-1 victory.
