Mississippi Valley State Looks to Split Series with Alcorn State in Women’s Basketball

The Mississippi Valley State University women’s basketball team will try to even its series with Alcorn State when they meet Tuesday at the Davey L. Whitney Complex in Lorman, Mississippi. The game is scheduled for 6 p.m. and will be streamed on SWAC TV, with live radio coverage available on G-Line Radio.

The Devilettes nearly pulled off a major upset earlier this month but fell 75-72 to the Braves in Itta Bena. Mississippi Valley enters the game with a 6-21 overall record and a 5-11 mark in Southwestern Athletic Conference play. Alcorn State sports a 16-11 record and a 13-3 conference record.

Alcorn leads the all-time series 61-36 and won the last meeting on Feb. 5 at the R.W. Harrison HPER Complex in Itta Bena. The Braves are on a one-game winning streak, while Mississippi Valley last won on March 6, 2025, with a 63-48 victory.
