Mississippi Valley State Faces Arkansas-Pine Bluff in Women’s Basketball Saturday
The Mississippi Valley State University women’s basketball team will play its final non-Mississippi road game of the season Saturday against Arkansas-Pine Bluff. The game is scheduled for 3 p.m. at H.O. Clemmons Arena in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
The Devilettes, who hold a 6-20 overall record and are 5-10 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference, aim to improve their standing against the 11-14, 8-7 SWAC Golden Lions. The series between the teams favors Arkansas-Pine Bluff, which leads 18-12 since the 2010-11 season, including the last meeting on January 31 at the R.W. Harrison HPER Complex in Itta Bena, Mississippi. The Golden Lions won that game 68-66.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff has won its last game against Mississippi Valley State, extending its winning streak in the series to one.
