Mississippi Valley State Battles Southern in Rescheduled Men’s Basketball Game
The Mississippi Valley State University men’s basketball team will play Southern on Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Baton Rouge after their game originally scheduled for Monday was postponed twice, according to the schools.
The game will be broadcast on the Jaguar Sports Network and can be streamed online. Fans can listen via G-Line Radio and follow live stats through the Southern athletics website. Tickets are available on Ticketmaster.
Mississippi Valley State enters the game with a 1-19 overall record and is 0-6 in Southwestern Athletic Conference play. Southern holds a 7-12 record and is 3-3 in league play. The Jaguars lead the all-time series 51-33 since 1983, including a seven-game winning streak. Their last victory over Mississippi Valley was on Feb. 18, 2019.
The teams last met on Jan. 27, 2025, at the R.W. Harrison HPER Complex in Mississippi, with Southern winning 63-42.
