Mississippi Valley State Baseball Set for SWAC Series at Alcorn
The Mississippi Valley State University baseball team is set to face Alcorn State in a Southwestern Athletic Conference series at Willie E. “Rat” McGowan Stadium in Lorman, Mississippi.
The Delta Devils, who hold a 7-18 overall record and are 3-6 in SWAC play, will play two games on Wednesday, April 1, at 1 and 4 p.m., followed by a contest on Thursday, April 2, at noon.
Alcorn State enters the series with a 7-22 record and a 1-8 mark in conference games. The series history favors the Braves, who lead the all-time series 166-97-1, according to records. The last meeting occurred on March 1, 2026, at Braddy Field in Jackson, Mississippi, where Mississippi Valley State won 15-7.
Mississippi Valley State is currently riding a five-game winning streak, while Alcorn’s last victory was a 7-5 win on March 20, 2024.
