Mississippi Valley State Athletics Announces Week of Competition

Mississippi Valley State University has released its schedule for a busy week of athletic competition. The Delta Devils will compete in multiple sports as they continue conference and non-conference play across various locations.

On Tuesday, women’s tennis opens the week with a road match against Ole Miss at 11 a.m. in Oxford, Mississippi. Baseball also hits the road Tuesday evening, facing Louisiana-Monroe at 6 p.m. in Monroe, Louisiana. The softball team continues its midweek schedule with a doubleheader at Arkansas-Pine Bluff, scheduled for 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Wednesday in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

Women’s tennis returns to action Thursday at 4 p.m., hosting Southeastern Louisiana in Jackson, Mississippi. The track and field teams will compete throughout the weekend at the Pelican Relays in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with both men’s and women’s teams aiming to build momentum into the outdoor season.

Softball resumes Southwestern Athletic Conference play over the weekend with a series at Alabama A&M in Huntsville, Alabama. Baseball returns home to Magnolia Field for a conference series against Bethune-Cookman, with games scheduled for Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. in Itta Bena, Mississippi. Meanwhile, the tennis programs will face Alcorn State in Lorman, Mississippi, Saturday at 4 p.m.
