Mississippi State’s Roury McCloyen Earns Second Team All-American Honors at NCAA Indoor Championships

Fayetteville, Ark. — Mississippi State junior Roury McCloyen earned Second Team All-American honors at the NCAA Indoor Championships on Saturday. In his first appearance at the indoor national meet, McCloyen finished 11th in the men’s shot put.

His best mark of the day was a throw of 19.07 meters in the third round, just missing the finals. McCloyen’s performance capped an indoor season in which he set two program records and earned Third Team All-SEC honors.

This is the second time McCloyen has received All-American recognition in the shot put. He previously earned the honor at the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Championships during his freshman year.

The Bulldogs will now prepare for the outdoor season, beginning with the Alumni Bulldog Relays at the end of March. For more information, visit HailState.com or follow HailStateTF on X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and Facebook.
