Mississippi State’s Reese Earns Second All-America Honor in 2026

STARKVILLE — Mississippi State’s Ace Reese has received his second All-America honor for 2026. The junior third baseman was selected as a second-team Preseason All-American by D1Baseball on Tuesday, the same recognition he earned from the outlet after the 2025 season.

Reese was also recently named a first-team Preseason All-American by Perfect Game. Last spring, he started 57 games at third base for the Bulldogs and led the team with a .352 batting average, 80 hits, 18 doubles, 21 home runs, 66 RBIs, 163 total bases, and a .718 slugging percentage. He ranked among the Southeastern Conference leaders in each category, and his 21 homers marked the eighth-most in a single season in school history.

The native of Canton, Texas, was named SEC Newcomer of the Year and was a first-team All-SEC selection. During his debut season at Mississippi State, he compiled 25 multi-hit games, 20 multi-RBI games, and five multi-homer games. Reese also represented the United States on Team USA in Japan during the summer of 2025.

Reese’s accolades contribute to Mississippi State’s storied history of baseball, with the program reaching its 167th All-America honor across 58 student-athletes, according to the university.
