Mississippi State Women’s Tennis Has Three Doubles Pairs in Latest ITA Rankings
STARKVILLE, Miss. — Mississippi State women’s tennis has three doubles teams in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings, according to an athletic department release.
The Bulldogs are ranked No. 49 in the team standings. In doubles, Charlotte Kempenaers-Pocz and Gianna Oboniye are ranked No. 22, while Kempenaers-Pocz and Chiara Di Genova moved up to No. 55. Athina Pitta and Oboniye made their first spring appearance in the rankings at No. 52, the release said.
The rankings reflect the Bulldogs’ strong doubles performance early in the season. Mississippi State will play at home this week, starting with a match against Oklahoma on March 19 at 3 p.m. The team will also host Arkansas and Southern Mississippi in a doubleheader on March 21.
