STARKVILLE, Miss. — Mississippi State’s track and field team opens its outdoor season at the Alumni Bulldog Relays this weekend at the Mike Sanders Track Complex. The meet runs from Thursday through Saturday, with the hammer throw scheduled for Thursday and track events starting Friday afternoon.

More than 45 Bulldogs are set to compete across 35 events. Of those, 24 athletes will make their outdoor debut either as Bulldogs or college athletes. The team aims to carry momentum from a successful indoor season, during which they set six program records and 17 all-time entries, according to the university.

Highlights include two record-setting athletes competing this weekend. The meet also features the annual alumni celebration and the fastest kid around race on Saturday, along with the 4×400-meter relays to close the event. Admission is free for spectators.

Coach Chris Woods and the team look forward to a busy stretch of competition over the next four weekends. For more information, visit HailState.com or follow @HailStateTF on X (formerly Twitter), Instagram and Facebook.
