Mississippi State men’s basketball achieved a significant victory Saturday, defeating rival Ole Miss in Oxford. The Bulldogs won by double digits, with Josh Hubbard contributing to the win by setting MSU’s career record for three-pointers, according to the team.
Head coach Chris Jans joined the Dear Ol’ State podcast, hosted by Joel Coleman, to discuss the victory and look ahead to the team’s upcoming home game against Auburn on Wednesday night. The podcast is part of the Hail State Podcast Network and is available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
In other coverage, the podcast also features interviews with first-year Bulldog pitchers Chris Billingsley Jr. and Jack Bauer. The series, which is part of the HailState+ Podcast Network, can also be streamed on popular platforms.
Additionally, Mississippi State women’s basketball remains in the NCAA Tournament hunt despite a challenging season. Head coach Sam Purcell discussed the team’s prospects and upcoming game against Georgia on the same podcast series.
Softball fans also got a highlight with pitcher Peja Goold, who nearly pitched a no-hitter in her college debut before a strong start in her first weekend in Maroon and White. Goold shared her journey to Starkville and her initial experiences with the Bulldogs.
