Mississippi State Men’s Tennis Ranks No. 6 in ITA Team Poll, Six Players in Singles Top 100

Mississippi State’s men’s tennis team is ranked No. 6 nationally, according to the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) team rankings released Thursday. The Bulldogs have six players listed in the singles rankings, led by Petar Jovanovic, who rose to No. 6 after being No. 8 last week.

Benito Sanchez Martinez is also ranked in the top 50 at No. 35. Other Bulldogs in the singles top 100 include Mario Martinez Serrano at No. 62, Niccolo Baroni at No. 68 after previously being No. 125, Bryan Hernandez Cortes at No. 97, and Raphael Vaksmann at No. 123. Vaksmann was unranked last week but now appears in the rankings.

In doubles, Jovanovic and Sanchez Martinez moved up to No. 4 nationally, climbing from No. 5. Another ranked doubles team features Hernandez Cortes and Roberto Ferrer Guimaraes, who are ranked No. 47.
