Mississippi State Men’s Golf Continues Spring Season at Schenkel Invitational
STATESBORO, Ga. — Mississippi State men’s golf opened its spring schedule at the Schenkel Invitational, hosted by Georgia Southern at Forest Heights Country Club. The course measures 7,112 yards and plays as a par 72.
The Bulldogs returned to competition for the first time since finishing ninth at the Watersound Invitational in mid-February. That marked their fifth top-10 finish in five events this season, according to team sources.
Mississippi State’s lineup features senior Garrett Endicott, freshman Jackson Skinner, redshirt freshman Ben Kelling, senior Ugo Malcor, and junior Drew Wilson. Endicott, who tied for 14th at Watersound, holds the No. 1 spot and has four top-20 finishes this season. Skinner, who finished sixth at Watersound, moves into the second spot after his best collegiate showing.
Kelling makes his first start of the season with the team, having played as an individual earlier this year. Malcor, a senior, is among the team’s most consistent players this season, with two top-10 finishes. Wilson, in his fourth start, finished 14th at Cullan Brown earlier this season.
Individually, freshman Bryson Hughes will compete as an individual at the event. The tournament began with teams teeing off from Hole No. 1 at 10:39 a.m. CT. Live scoring is available online.
