Mississippi State Golf Sits 10th After Day One of Maridoe Collegiate
Carrollton, Texas — Mississippi State’s men’s golf team is in 10th place after the first day of the Maridoe Collegiate at Maridoe Golf Club, according to the school. The Bulldogs shot a combined score of 615, with team members facing challenging conditions.
Garrett Endicott leads Mississippi State individually, tying for 13th place after rounds of 75 and 72 for a total of 147, which is 3 over par, as reported by the school. Endicott’s second-round score was one of only seven par or better rounds in the field.
Freshmen Dain Richie and Ugo Malcor are tied for 23rd and 56th, respectively. Richie shot rounds of 75 and 76, totaling 151 (+7). Malcor scored 77 and 81, finishing with 158 (+14).
Other Bulldogs include Bryson Hughes, who finished 61st with scores of 80 and 79, and Jackson Skinner, in 72nd at 82 and 83. The tournament continues Tuesday, with live stats available online.
The Bulldogs are among 14 teams competing, with Oklahoma State leading after rounds of 283 and 292 for a total of 576. The event concludes Wednesday.
