Mississippi State Finishes Fifth at Mason Rudolph Championship
FRANKLIN, Tenn. — Mississippi State finished fifth at the Mason Rudolph Championship, held at Vanderbilt Legends Club, marking their fourth top-five finish of the season, according to school athletics.
Dain Richie led the Bulldogs, tying for fifth place at 4-under par with a three-round total of 209. Richie opened with rounds of 69 and 67 before shooting a 73 in the final round. This was his second top-five finish of the season, the school said.
Garrett Endicott also had a strong showing, shooting a final round of 69 to finish even par overall and climb 11 spots to 13th. Endicott’s effort marked his seventh top-20 finish this season. Ugo Malcor tied Endicott for 13th after a final round of 73, marking his fifth top-20 finish of the year, according to the school.
Jackson Cook finished in 48th place, while Jackson Skinner was 65th. The Bulldogs will now compete at their home event, the Mossy Oak Collegiate Championship, scheduled for April 13-14.
Auburn won the tournament with a total score of 826, followed by Vanderbilt and Tennessee. Mississippi State’s team score was 852, finishing in fifth place overall, the results showed.
Individual results for the Bulldogs included Richie, who finished T5; Malcor and Endicott, who tied for 13th; Cook in 48th; and Skinner in 65th. Another Bulldog, Drew Wilson, finished in 65th place overall, the school reported.
Mississippi State’s men’s golf team will next compete at the Mossy Oak Collegiate Championship on April 13-14.
