CLINTON, Miss. — Mississippi College’s baseball program earned national attention entering the 2026 season, ranking No. 21 in the NCAA Division II Preseason Coaches Poll, released by the American Baseball Coaches Association. The poll, presented by Netting Professionals, recognized the Choctaws following a 35-23 record in 2025 and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

The Blue and Gold will open the 2026 campaign with a challenging series against No. 30 Indianapolis, beginning Friday, Jan. 30, at Frierson Field at Dickins-Scoper Stadium. The matchup features two teams that combined for 69 wins last season and advanced to postseason play.
Defending national champion Tampa (Fla.) leads the preseason poll, followed by Central Missouri and Lenoir-Rhyne. Five teams from the South Region are ranked inside the top 15, underscoring the level of competition Mississippi College will face this season.
